Good Friday / Easter Holiday

The company agreed if the Union circulated a petition and everyone on the crew signed it.... then they would move the Holiday. This process worked until Easter was negotiated as a Holiday.....some believed we would never revert back to the 8-hr. shifts and there is an old adage that says "never say never."

After being on 12 hour shifts for approximately 19 years. ...we are revisiting the 8 hr. language which has some significant and various contradicting language comparison to the 12 hr. shifts. Fortunately, Good Friday and Easter Sunday are not just another Holiday at BFS.

On Easter Sunday, Christians celebrate the resurrection of the Lord, Jesus Christ. It is typically the most well-attended Sunday service of the year for Christian churches.

Christians believe according to Scripture, that Jesus came back to life, or was raised from the dead, three days after his death on the cross. As part of the Easter season, the death of Jesus Christ by crucifixion, is commemorated on Good Friday, always the Friday just before Easter. Through his death, burial and resurrection, Jesus paid the penalty for sin, thus purchasing for all who believe in him, eternal life in Christ Jesus.

I pray that all eyes that read this will come to know our Christ and Savior and never be ashamed to say that you know him and seek a personal relationship with our Lord.

I fall short of the glory of God on many occasions because I am a sinner and I know you are too....its not about us .....its about what Jesus did for us by dying on the cross for our sins and now sitting on the right hand of God interceding for us and our short comings.

Happy Easter!!!!!!
