Take a Minute to Make a Difference
Our budget deficit wasn’t caused by average Americans. Wall Street greed, tax breaks for the richest, two wars and healthcare costs have done that damage. Yet, in the current debate in Washington, some are asking those who can afford spending cuts the least – working people, children, the poor and the sick – to carry the burden of deficit reduction. Meanwhile, those with the most are not being asked to share the sacrifice.
There is something wrong with an America where a poor child with a disability gets his services cut so that billionaires can keep their lowest tax rates in decades.
Right now, Senator Bernie Sanders – an unrelenting champion of our issues – is asking for our help in this fight for shared sacrifice. Please sign Senator Sanders’ petition. It only takes a minute to make a difference.
As a reminder, we need all locals to take part in the national action to oppose the pending free trade agreements. If you missed yesterday’s ActionCall, get it HERE.
