Occupy Nashville is a citizen-led movement formed in solidarity with Occupy Wall Street defending democracy from corporate money & corruption.

The primary goals of Occupy Nashville are

1) End Corporate Personhood
2) Remove Money & Financial Influence From Politics
3) Support & Solidarity With Occupy Wall Street

This movement is filled with dedicated & informed people from all walks of life who share a desire for a better future. We understand that the problems of government & society are complex & require careful thought & creative solutions. Our current political system is incapable of addressing these issues because of the influence of corporations & their lobbyists. This current political culture impedes true Democracy: A government by the people & for the people.

We are the defenders of Democracy. We are the 99% & so are YOU!
