Congress Should Extend Unemployment Benefits!

Dear National Labor Caucus Member,

Federal extended unemployment insurance programs will expire on December 31st unless Congress takes action now. These programs are a critical lifeline for workers who have been laid off and despite their best efforts, unable to find a job in an economy where there are more than 4 unemployed workers for every available job. The programs also play an essential role in sustaining local communities and our nation’s economy.
