Obituary:
Mr. A.G. Blackman, age 76 of Murfreesboro, Tennessee died Sunday, August 8, 2010 at the Middle Tennessee Medical Center. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Evangelist Flora Blackman; children, Katie (Jerry) Glanton, Krista (Terence) Davis, Kenneth (LaToya) Blackman, Kathy (Clinton) Harris, Renee Smith; step children, Revondia Jordan, James "Pokey" Miller; sisters, Laura Sneed, Lillian King; brothers, Edward Shannon (Alma) Blackman, Wayne Blackman; sisters-in-law, Geraldine Blackman, Elizabeth Harding, Lucille Donaldson, Mattie (Willie) Cannon; brother-in-law, James Smith; 24 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; devoted niece, Juanita Williams; devoted friends, Mrs. Anna Mary Vaughn, John Washington and Scott Smith and many other relatives and friends.

Mr. Blackman was born on November 22, 1933 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee to the late Alberta and Walter Blackman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters. He married Geri Mitchell and to this union four children were born - Katy, Krista, Kenneth and Kathy. He was also blessed with a daughter named Renee Smith. Later, he married Evangelist Flora Blackman and became step father to her two children, Revondia and James "Pokey".

Mr. Blackman served in the United States Army from 1955 - 1957. He graduated from Holloway High School in 1959 and also accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior that same year.
